There is less money and a requirement to do more.
Specifically the school has experienced a belt tightening in light of the economy, and a new building project. Many departments are under staffed and need to make due for the time being.
I was brought in to work with the Student Services Leadership Team during the first half of their full day off sight planning retreat.
To address the problem I had the group work through a series of activities. After each activity we listed our insights from the activity and then how we might us them back at the office. The group created about three pages of flipchart insights for each activity.
At the end of the workshop each member of the leadership team identified three insights that would be implemented during the coming week. All left feeling that the workshop helped them to identify areas of improvement for them and their team.
